Youtube is full of many communities, and within those communities there are even smaller groupings of those who have the same values and purpose as to why they are on Youtube. Kristin mentions in one of her first videos that she started a Youtube channel because she felt that is what God was asking of her. When observing and watching different people on Youtube, you catch on to the atmosphere of the channel and the type of audience they gather. Kristin is a very open character on Youtube. She introduces her husband and her dogs in many of her videos and opens up about the good and bad times going on in her life. She creates invisible friendships through her videos. "Because a subscriber relationship is a one-way relationship representative of users tastes, we characterize it as a directional network" (Social Networks and the Diffusion of User-Generated Content: Evidence from Youtube, page 24). Kristin captures the audience of makeup and fashion enthusiasts, but then filters that group out when she creates an atmosphere that follows the lines of her faith. She digs deep into her channel and her invisible relationship with her subscribers, making them feel that they know her and understand her. This leads into her influence over her followers because they feel that they can connect with her, without even her knowing their name.

This video is unique in the way that Kristin provides not only different makeup products, but ways to use the makeup you already have. She is praising the look of being natural while not insulting the look of having large amounts of makeup. Throughout her channel, you see that Kristin is very clear on her love for a natural look when applying makeup. This video provides evidence to the fact that skin care and an everyday makeup look is important.

Kristin's main reason for creating her Youtube channel was to share her faith to the thousands of people who watch her. Her beliefs are very relevant to her posts and that reflects the majority of her audience. Religion is obviously a large topic of conflict, which is why Kristin has had a lot of problems with comments and hate on Youtube. When putting yourself out there, you have to be open to the idea that many different types of people are watching your videos and thinking different things. Sometimes people disagree with what you post and are hateful in that way. This can be discouraging, especially since Youtube is only growing and this will only continue more and more. She is challenged in every post about her beliefs, but this is a huge reason why she holds so much respect with her subscribers. Her overcoming the hate she is given online and watching her continue her channel is an inspiration to not only her followers but other Youtubers struggling with this issue as well.
